My Trip to Houston: Ohana is Everything!

Hawaiian in the Mainland Images: Cupcakes from Magnolia Market on Chip and Joanna’s Silo (so yum!), Sisters hanging out, Family picture (most of our family met us on our trip to Houston!), Rodeo fun with my cousin and best friend/sister, Family time in San Antonio, Cousins on the River Walk.

It all started out as a yearly trip to Houston that my cousin (Jay), my best friend since middle school (Sydney), and myself would take to Houston each Spring for Rodeo Houston (AKA “Jay & The Babes Annual Trip”).

The first year, it was just us. We have a couple of Aunts and Uncles from Hawaii that live in the area, so we stayed with them. We posted lots of pics and shared videos of all the fun we were having.

Well, the rest of our aunts, uncles, and cousins saw the greatness of the Jay & The Babes trip and decided to invite themselves to be a part of it the following year. So as you can see in the family picture above, several of our family members made the trip this year. Now it has become some sort of an annual family reunion.

We got free tickets to the Machine Gun Kelly concert at the Rodeo and it was interesting to say the least. The best parts about Rodeo Houston is the food, shopping, and of course, the actual Rodeo!

We drove to San Antonio for 1 night to visit the River Walk. Although I had been there before years ago, it was really nice to enjoy it with just a few of our family members. The food & entertainment was great!

We didn’t visit any Hawaiian style places while there (we should have because now I see there are a lot). We decided to enjoy the Texas Local cuisine and try new things. The one thing Hawaiian we did have while there… The Aloha Spirit!

Aloha Y’all! (Yeehaw),
